In Memoriam: Kurt Cobain

   Posted by: admin   in Life

It’s really hard to believe that 15 years ago today, Kurt Cobain passed away.  Time goes by so fast.

I remember where I was when I heard the news.  I was having a coffee, reading “Valley of the Dolls” in Woodstock, NY.  I sat in shock for a few minutes.  Then I started to cry.  It was amazing, the effect it had.  The cafe I was at had about 25 or so people in it at the time.  Everyone there freaked.  It was so surreal.  I do not ever want to have that feeling again.

Kurt Cobain lives on forever in his family’s and fan’s hearts.  His music is played as often as the latest new songs are played.  He was a true genius.

Kurt lives in my heart FOREVER!  I miss his face and his kind eyes and I miss his beautiful voice.

Hey Kurt!!!     Nevermind.  :(

Rest in Peace and sleep with the angels, you sweet soul.

WOW!!!

   Posted by: admin   in Life

Hello there!

I haven’t been on here in a long while.  With all the holidays, our grandson, my daughter, etc.  Needless to say I have been keeping busy.  I, myself have been up and down lately.  I’ll get a handle on that soon I’m sure.

We have been painting our apartment a little at a time and it is starting to look gorgeous!  I am really excited about it!!!  It makes me feel so good to accomplish this.  I have been wanting to paint this apartment for a long time.  I hate white!  LOL!!!

I am currently writing for The Examiner (Tampa Edition) in the Pet category.  I just started and it’s pretty cool.  I have also started making jewelry.  Cuff bracelets to be exact.  When I have more made I will post a link.

I do hope all is well with all of you.

Our New Grandson!

   Posted by: admin   in Uncategorized

Oh man, I am sooo excited!  My daughter Nikki finally gave birth to her first baby, a son, on Dec 8, 2008!

Mom and baby are home and doing fabulous!  I was there the whole day today.  What a great time.  I was really able to bond with my grandson, oh, his name is Jakobe.

I didn’t realize how happy I would be!  To have a baby in the family (especially when it’s a small family) is magical.

Life has taken on a new meaning for my husband and myself.

Jakobe happens to be an extremely good baby, very chill.  He does have a huge appetite though! LOL!  And I have NEVER seen my daughter this happy before.  The way she looks at Jakobe is breath taking.

OJ Simpson! HAHA, The Juice is NOT Loose!

   Posted by: admin   in comedy

This guy is such a creepy mad man.

Now I remember him being a famous football player back in the day.  My Dad used to watch the football games and his name was a household name.  What a shame.

Look, we all know, deep down, that he literally got away with murder years ago.  He NEVER was remorseful or paid anyone anything that was owed.  But you roamed free, slithered actually.

Ok Mr Big Guy, The Juice, or whatever you call yourself (I call you a slimy good for nothing pig).  You say it was all a misunderstanding.  What is there to misunderstand?   You can not, I repeat, CAN NOT strong arm people!  I don’t give a flyin bird turd what happened.

Oh I have a great idea for you hun, while your in the slammer, why don’t you read up on some law topics or law in general, or the meaning of a law.

Have fun being some one’s “JUICE” in jail!!!  EEWW!!   LOL!!!

In the end, you always will get what you deserve.  You really should smarten up.  But then again by the time you get out I’m sure you will be old and decrepit ( not that you are not decrepit now).  You will be too old, ugly, ridden with Alzheimer’s and probably a pillow biter!

I hope everyone turns their back on you when and IF you get out.

Cheers!!!

Painting.. You Don’t Have to be Dali!

   Posted by: admin   in art

Yes, I have started painting again..  Wow, I haven’t painted in about twenty five years, (give or take a few).

I must say that painting is very theraputic.  It is a super stress reliever.  I have alot of things on my mind, and a lot of things going on.  I seem to enjoy quiet activities.  I like to write, research, crochet, paint and read.  For someone who loves to goof around and get a little boisterous sometimes, I sure like quiet stuff!!

Ok, so back to the painting that I have rediscovered.  My hubby and I went shopping on Black Friday.  We had spoke about painting, drawing etc.  We decided to stop at an art store called Pearl’s not far from our home.  That place was fantastic.  My husband use to like to sketch.  He picked up some pencils and a sketch pad. I got this cool little acrylic paint kit and two large canvases and a acrylic pad.

And off we go!!!

I have been busy as a bee!  It is exhilarating!  I do recommend it to anyone and everyone.  Especially if you too have “a lot going on”.  Plus you are creating art.  How cool is that?!  Remember you do not have to be good at drawing or anything like that.  I can see art in everything.  I, personally like to paint random, abstract stuff.  Colors going all over the canvas in no particular order.   I just paint what I am feeling.  I like to paint mostly with my fingers.  Hey!  Finger-painting is cool!!!  LOL!  But really, I like to “feel” the paint touching the canvas.  I do use brushes, but only here and there.  Most of my pictures always have been and always will be done with my fingers. A sort of connection I guess.  My husband is a very busy man, but he did find some time to sit down with me and do some sketch work.  It was relaxing for him and he really seemed to get into it.  My paintings usually come quick.  His sketches are different.  It all depends on the person.

Once again, I do recomend painting, drawing or anything that let’s you “create” something all your own.

Try it..  You just might find an artist within.

Hooray! The Election is Over!

   Posted by: admin   in Politics

I am so happy!  Both that the election is finally over and the fact that Obama is now our new President.   I think he will do a good job.  I think this country is ready for a change.  And he is it, in my opinion .

As for McCain…  He is just way too old fashioned for our growing country.  I believe we need a younger mind in the White House.  The people can’t relate to McCain.  He is of a different generation.  Time for something new.

And of course let us not forget Michelle Obama.  She is young, vibrant and has taste and class.  Finally, a first lady that doesn’t look like a sponge face!  And I’m sure her clothes don’t smell like mothballs (thanks hubby)!

Now I assume gas prices will go back up.  Damn I knew I should have filled my tank!

Shades of Green

   Posted by: admin   in Green

The topic of “green” is very popular lately, I have noticed.  How can you not?  What with all the media and such telling us to help save the environment and go “green”.

This is something we should already be doing.  There is nothing new about “green”.  It is the environment and the care of it.  It is very precious.  More than we will ever know or understand.  Recycling, conserving water, bio-degradeable items and so on has been around since the sixties.  Granted we are more informed now with computers, media, and books etc.  In fact “car pooling” used to be very popular, now I don’t hear much about it.  Gas is very high, upkeep and maintenance of a vehicle costs money.  With the economy the way it is, one would figure “car pooling” would be smart for the planet, hence “green”.

Well, there it is…  “Green” has been around for quite sometime.

Please… Take care of our planet, environment and all things small and large living in it.  Treat it with respect and dignity.

And remember…  NEVER turn your back on Mother Earth…

The Economy and Us…

   Posted by: admin   in Economy

I have been thinking about this for awhile now.

With the woes over the economy, people losing their jobs and homes.  Families are falling apart.  Crime has risen.  Everything just seems to be spinning out of control.

On top of all of that, we have a huge election coming up!  Who to vote for?  Pros and cons, cons and pros (no pun intended).

Oh…What to do?  Who should do it?  What happens if?  Now what?

It certainly can boggle one’s mind quite easily…  If one let’s it…

My “view” on this particular subject is like this…

First off, let’s not lose sight of us, as human beings.  If you are fortunate enough to have your health, everything else will eventually fall into place.  Patience and strength is key here.  These, however are virtues.  Nothing without a healthy human body.  With a healthy human body “usually” comes a healthy human mind.  It is easily tarnished.  It is easily confused.  It is easily forgetful.  It also hurts easily.  Thus, the “headache”.

Also I think we need to be conscious and thankful for the one’s that love us.  They give us strength and hope.  We need to be there for each other.  More…  When it all comes down to it that’s all we really have.  Each other.  I know this sounds all hippie like and corny.  But it’s very true.

Be kind to each other and take care of each other.  And just be thankful that you are here.

It’s a very strange time to be alive.  Learn and grow from it.

Asses and Horns

   Posted by: admin   in Asses

Yes, thats right…

So now it seems that these “horns” are “cool” or what?  You know the ones, sounds like a train horn or some other obnoxious sound.  If you have never heard these “horns” consider yourself lucky!

My husband almost got into a car wreck because some ass decided to blow his “train horn”!  They really need to be outlawed.  I don’t understand why they are not already.  They can cause a horrible wreck, being as your not expecting it. This simply cannot be the very first time someone was freaked out and  surprised by the sound.  It is a piercing, super loud, obnoxious, in your face sound.

These asses that have them are obviously making up for something they are lacking. LOL!!  A kind of “Hey look at me!” message. They have to compensate for their short comings I guess. LOL!

Pathetic, Loser, Asses!

My rant to open October!

BUTT BANDIT… No, It’s True!

   Posted by: admin   in People

This is hysterical and troubling at the same time.

It seems that there is man running around  Valentine, Nebraska with Vaseline on his hiney and genitalia, pressing his “parts” on the windows of churches, stores and hotels!  What the hell!?  AND from the vague description the police have received , he has an 80’s “feathered haircut”!  LOL!!!!!!  Can you imagine??  He has been “at it” for over a year now and nobody seems to be able to catch him.  I wonder why he does this?  Other than being weird.  How gross the cleanup must be!

I wonder if the police will take buttprints!   What will the police line up look like?  All hairy butt cracks? LOL!!!

One word…  EW!
